Registered Assessment Specialist Accreditation Program

This accreditation program consists of 10 lessons where participants acquire the skills to assess employees through ability, personality and competency based testing. This in-depth cost-effective program gives an excellent opportunity for HR professionals, recruiters and others who wish to use assessment tools for quality selection, training and personnel development. Successful completion of this program makes you eligible for membership in the Canadian Association of Assessment Specialists CAAS, with the RAS (Registered Assessment Specialist) designation. The Institute is a certified educational body registered with HRSDC, Human Resources and Skills Development Canada, and offers nationally recognized accreditation programs.

Methods of study available: Self Study versions include Text-Based CD-ROM or Online Version. Average time for completion of self study (distance learning) options: 30 to 50 hours total, including writing the open book exam.

Text-Based CD-ROM Version of the complete program costs $735 plus GST/HST. Based on individual use only (no sharing). All program material contained on CD-ROM.

Exam and sample test kits will be mailed in hard copy. Technical requirements: Internet Explorer 5 or greater required.

Time limit to complete program: One(1) year from date of purchase. Average time for completion: 30 to 50 hours total, including writing the open book exam.

Online Version of the complete program costs $685 plus GST/HST. Based on individual use only (no sharing). All program material included online. Exam and sample test kits will be mailed in hard copy.

NOTE: Access to program material online and time limit to complete the program: Ninety (90) days from date of purchase. Average time for completion: 30 to 50 hours total, including writing the open book exam.

Both self study options (Text-based CD-ROM or online versions) contain the complete program material. There is an exam sent with the material. Once you complete the program, submit the multiple choice examination response form along with a membership application to the Canadian Association of Assessment Specialists and your first year's membership fees of $175.00 plus GST/HST to become eligible for the professional RAS designation, plus the host of other benefits listed on our website.
